A line of severe thunderstorms developed in a moist unstable airmass along a cold front during the evening.As thunderstorms moved east at around 25 MPH, they caused damaging high winds and heavy rain.A funnel cloud was sighted in North Salem in Westchester County by the New York State Police. Numerous trees and power lines were downed along and around Bloomer Road for about 1 mile in North Salem.Trees were also downed around Peach Lake in Putnam County.
