A complex of severe thunderstorms caused wind damage throughout the county. The least damage occurred in the northwest part. No serious injuires were reported. Uprooted trees and downed power lines caused road closures in many townships. The road closures included sections of United States Route 206 and New Jersey State Routes 94 and 23. About 2,600 New Jersey Central Power and Light customers lost power in the county. The worst damage occurred just north of Myrtle Grove where downed trees damaged a home and crushed several vehicles. Localities that reported wind damage included Andover (Several roads closed.), Branchville, Franklin (Several roads closed.), Hampton, Hardyston, Lafayette, Newton and Vernon.
