Heavy rains associated with Tropical Storm Bertha caused some flooding along the Rockaway River below the Boonton Reservoir from 11 p.m. EDT on the 13th through 6 p.m. EDT on the 14th. The river crested at Boonton below the reservoir at 5.5 feet at 6 a.m. EDT on the 14th. Flood stage is 5 feet. No serious injuries or damage were reported. Storm totals in Morris County included 3.79 inches in Oak Ridge, 3.67 inches in Long Valley, 3.33 inches in Montville, 3.14 inches in Boonton and 2.74 inches in Chatham.
