A severe thunderstorm dropped quarter size hail in Florence and golf ball size hail in Chesterfield. It also caused wind damage in a four block wide area in Florence from 5th to 8th Streets. Several trees were uprooted, one crushed a Cadillac. A flag was literally ripped from a flagpole. No injuries were reported.
