Thunderstorms developed near Holdrege and moved eastward across the area. The storms produced mainly very strong winds to near 90 mph and hail up to 2 inches in diameter. One tornado briefly touched down near Naponee in open country. A house near Cairo had its front porch ripped off by very strong winds. Crops in the Holdrege area sustained considerable damage.
