Damaging Wind in Michigan, July 19, 1996
An area of low pressure tracked across northern lower Michigan during the evening of the 18th and the early morning hours of the 19th. Severe thunderstorms developed ahead of the cold front associated with that system, and tracked east from Shiawassee county through Genesee, Lapeer, northern Oakland, and Saint Clair counties.

An area of low pressure tracked across northern lower Michigan during the evening of the 18th and the early morning hours of the 19th. Severe thunderstorms developed ahead of the cold front associated with that system, and tracked east from Shiawassee county through Genesee, Lapeer, northern Oakland, and Saint Clair counties. Several spotters reported downed trees. The roof was blown off of a barn in Morrice, in Shiawassee county, and a barn collapsed in Almont, in Lapeer county, killing 2 cows.
