In Pittsfield severe thunderstorms produced one and three quarter inch hail and large limbs were downed by the wind.

A stationary front which stretched from eastern New York east across Berkshire County Massachusetts became the focus for severe thunderstorms and flash flooding over Berkshire County on June 8. In Pittsfield severe thunderstorms produced one and three quarter inch hail and large limbs were downed by the wind. Training echoes caused flash flooding in several parts of the county during the evening hours. At Dalton and Pittsfield, in the central part of the county, roads were flooded. At Sheffield, in the southern part of the county, major road flooding occurred.
