Thunderstorm winds snapped or uprooted over a dozen trees at two subdivisions of the Montgomery Village community in Gaithersburg. One townhouse sustained minor roof damage (a few shingles ripped off, tar paper pulled back slightly).

Thunderstorm winds snapped or uprooted over a dozen trees at two subdivisions of the Montgomery Village community in Gaithersburg. One townhouse sustained minor roof damage (a few shingles ripped off, tar paper pulled back slightly). Some trees fell onto fences; one uprooted tree was reportedly 30 feet tall. The majority of trees were Bradford Pears.
