A late season snow storm brought record "late season" snowfall. Caribou recorded an official 5.6 inches on May 12 which was the greatest daily snowfall recorded so late in the season. The snowfall occurred after a low pressure system and cold front passed through the area, followed by unseasonably cold temperatures.
