Freezing drizzle produced a light glaze of ice over many roadways. Icy conditions led to several traffic accidents including a fatal accident along U.S Highway 69 less than a mile north of Kansas Highway 68. A 43 year old man was killed when he was thrown from his pickup truck after skidding out of control on the icy road. The 22 year old woman who was a passenger in the truck was seriously injured.
