After a brief interlude, thunderstorms began to fire over western Iowa again during the morning. In this report and subsequent reports, it can be seen that winds and hail were once again the problem. Most of the wind reports were just above severe criteria. Hail reached golf ball size at times. Later in the morning the thunderstorms spread into the central and southwest counties of the state.
