Thunderstorms developed rapidly in the unstable air mass over Iowa. A warm front extended from west central into northeast Iowa. Thunderstorms fired just north of the front. One of the storms produced a small tornado that was on the ground intermittently for about 10 miles. Little damage was reported as it traveled across open fields.
