Thunderstorms dumped up to 4 inches of rain in a short period of time on already saturated soils due to another heavy rainfall event on May 8th. Some streets and basements in Sullivan experienced some flooding and IL Rt. 32 was closed for several hours. Numerous roads throughout the county were flooded. No injuries were reported and no damage estimate was available.
