Heavy Rain in Florida, June 8, 1996
Nearly a foot of rain fell in the vicinity of Spring Hill which caused three large sink holes to develop near Mariner Boulevard and Abbeyville Street. Another large sinkhole that developed along Captain's Road in Spring Hill from the heavy rain measured 40 feet wide by 35 feet deep.
