With moist unstable air in place, clusters of severe thunderstorms formed as a cold front moved southeast toward the area.As these storms raced southeast over the area, they produced high winds that knocked down trees and power lines.In addition to the sites listed above, wind damage occurred in Woolcott (New Haven County) at 2:10 pm EST, and in both Lisbon and Franklin (New London County) at 3:00 pm EST. One tree fell and damaged a school bus in New Fairfield of Fairfield County at 2:10 pm EST.
