Severe thunderstorms developed along a cold front which crossed eastern New York and adjacent western New England during the afternoon of May 21. These storms produced damage across parts of Litchfield County. At Norfolk a tree blew down on a house. At New Milford, Terryville and Roxbury numerous trees and wires were downed by the wind.
