Heavy rain showers from thunderstorms in the area resulted in the closure of several county roads during the afternoon and evening. Nearly 4.25 inches of rain fell in Logan County over a few short hours. A few of the roads were heavily damaged or completely washed out. As a result, several children were left stranded at their school because the roads were impassable. The time of the event was approximated.
