Large hail, strong thunderstorm winds and heavy rain caused substantial damage to property and crops in and around the Fort Collins area. Roofs, automobiles and crops were damaged by the hail. Downed branches snapped power lines which led to scattered outages. Two people were injured when they lost control of their vehicle during the hailstorm. The hail covered the roadways several inches deep in some spots.
