Severe storms moved through Holly, producing 3/4 inch hail and 2 inches of rain in 30 minutes. Hail was reported to be nearly 2 inches deep on the ground, and minor street flooding was found throughout the town. The high winds brought many trees and power lines down. Hail destroyed a 4 mile strip of corn, alfalfa, and cantaloupe, while at Jensen Farms large hail caused a near-total crop loss.
