Gusty thunderstorm winds caused damage and a few injuries at a Fry's Food Store at the intersection of Power Road and Baseline Road in East Mesa. The winds lifted a 2000 pound tent and slammed it against a truck. The glass-covered artwork beneath the tent shattered and caused minor cuts to two people. A teenage boy was thrown into a grocery cart corral and treated at a local hospital for back injuries. Several cars in the parking lot sustained dents from flying debris.
