A brief tornado touched down in Albany County 22 miles east of Rock River. Rock River is located 35 northwest of Laramie.

A cluster of thunderstorms moved through central Goshen County during the evening. Winds were estimated at between 60 and 80 mph with gusts of 90 mph. There were numerous reports of trees blown over or snapped. One photo in the local newspaper showed a 50-foot tree branch over a foot in diameter that had been ripped from a large Honey Locust Tree. The towns of Lingle and Yoder also had trees damaged by the high winds. A repeater tower 150-feet tall was knocked to the ground eight miles southwest of Lingle. Power outages were also common as the high winds felled power poles and lines in Torrington. No damage figures were reported.
