Scattered severe thunderstorms generated powerful winds which knocked over large trees and power lines west of Janesville and in Union (Rock County). The powerful winds also toppled large trees scattered around Dodgeville (Lafayette County). Hail up to dime-size also fell. The associated "blinding rain" resulted in minor street flooding as the storms moved westward, training over the same locations in the process.
