Thunderstorms in southwest Virginia during the evening hours on the 25th produced damaging winds and flash flooding. Thunderstorm winds downed trees in Belspring and two miles west-southwest of Bridle Creek. Some of the trees fell on vehicles in Belspring. Thunderstorm winds destroyed a vacant mobile home in Dublin. Heavy rain from thunderstorms resulted in a mud slide onto Route 460 in Newport.
