Several weak tornadoes were reported by spotters and TV media. Viewing the video taken by KFDA-TV revealed four tornadoes each being occluded, then redeveloping from the parent storm. The Department of Public Safety reported several trucks overturned north of Childress and numerous power lines down. Tornado paths are an estimate.

Severe thunderstorms during the evening of the 3rd produced damaging winds and one tornado. The tornado was a brief F0 spotted on the Red River 11 miles northwest of Goodlett in Hardeman County. (This is the same tornado reported in Oklahoma in Harmon County 15 miles south-southwest of Gould.) Severe thunderstorm winds in Wilbarger County downed six utility poles one miles south of Odell and felled large trees in Odell, one onto a house.

The hail damage west of Fritch and west of Childress was to boats and storage sheds on or near the lakes. The most significant damage west of Childress was by a tornado to the indoor roping area of World Champion Calf Roper Roy Cooper. An event was in progress when the arena was completely destroyed. Luckily only one injury was reported. The 59 mph wind was reported by VORTEX. The tornado paths are an estimate.
