Severe thunderstorms in northern Oklahoma dropped hail as large as quarters in Grant County three miles east of Renfrow and in Kay County four miles east of Newkirk and in Blackwell. Flash flooding was also reported three miles south of Ponca City, where Highway 77 was flooded and closed for a short time.

Severe thunderstorms moved across eastern Oklahoma during the early morning of April 29th. Strong thunderstorm winds blew down large tree branches in Vera, and thunderstorm winds gusted to 60 miles an hour 10 miles east of Foraker, 2 miles east of Claremore, and in Stilwell. Quarter size hail fell at Sallisaw and at Big Cedar, and nickel size hail fell at Ramona and 3 miles north of Locust Grove. Dime size hail fell at several other locations in northeast Oklahoma. Very heavy rainfall from the thunderstorms also resulted in flash flooding in northeast Oklahoma. Street flooding occurred in Bartlesville, Nowata, and Wagoner, and Main Street in Hominy was also flooded. Street flooding occurred in the city of Tulsa at the intersection of 31st Street South and Mingo Road and at the intersection of West 41st Street and Elwood Avenue, where water covered the road to a depth of 1 foot. Streets were flooded near Sand Springs, and roads were flooded near and just south of the town of Muskogee. Some county roads north of Interstate 40 in Muskogee County were also under water, and county roads were flooded between Skedee and Blackburn in Pawnee County. In Rogers County, a county road was briefly closed by flooding between Claremore and Foyil. A few small creeks overflowed over roads in Mannford, and high water flooded some low-lying roads in Hitchita.
