A thunderstorm piled up hail two inches deep on State Highway 64 creating icy road conditions and caused several collisions. Three-quarter inch hail up to two inches deep was reported in the same area.

Thunderstorms produced large hail and heavy rain. A metal storage shed was blown across a yard of a residence on North Grenada Drive. Willow Creek Greenhouses reported losing all of its outside plants, valued at about $1 million. Northern Arizona Tree Farms farther west on Center Street experienced major damage to trees, flowers, and vegetable plants. Flooding was also reported in some areas.

A very strong thunderstorm caused damage to more than 250 homes, several extensively. Roofs were ripped off and air conditioners at three homes were blown to the ground. Winds overturned some boats with a few of them crashing into the street. Winds also knocked down powerlines. Torrential rains caused washes to run very high.
