Thunderstorms in the western part of north Texas late on the 29th and early on the 30th produced damaging winds. Thunderstorm winds damaged roofs, carports, and trees and downed power lines in Munday, downed power lines in Quanah, tore the roofs off barns, and broke off large tree limbs in Goodlett, broke power poles, damaged roofs, and blew a cattle trailer over near Crowell, and ripped a roof off an abandoned house eight miles south-southwest of Crowell.
