Severe thunderstorms developed over northwest Louisiana during the evening producing damaging wind gusts in several locations along with a few reports of hail. A wind gust of 60 mph was recorded at Ringgold. According to National Weather Service storm reports and newspaper accounts the wind damage was confined to downed tree limbs and trees with the area around Minden receiving considerable tree damage.
