Thunderstorms in northern and southern Oklahoma during the evening hours on the 24th produced hail up to baseball-size and damaging winds. Thunderstorm winds destroyed a shed, peeled roofing material off a mobile home and downed tree limbs four and one-half miles west of Wynnewood, ripped off a hotel awning and uprooted a large tree 10 miles west of Marietta, and knocked down an antenna six miles west of Marietta. Hail up to golf ball-size in Wakita broke out numerous north and west facing windows, damaged roofs of homes and automobiles, and damaged the wheat crop.
