According to the data provided by the National Seismological Center of the University of Chile, at 03:15:13 hours on August 2, there was an earthquake measuring 5.4 Mw (scale of moment magnitude) with an epicenter 6 kilometers east of the commune of Colina, Province of Chacabuco, Metropolitan Region; and at a depth of 99.2 kilometers. The first data from the National Emergency Office (Onemi) was released about 1 hour after the earthquake occurred, indicating live communication channels that no structural damage would have been reported or victims of the earthquake. However, the sad news was announced in the early hours of the morning; where the death of an adult over 71 years of age due to cardio-respiratory arrest. (reference #12083)
