Two people killed and five injured in the Paphos area. Fifty houses destroyed, 70 seriously damaged and 500 slightly damaged in the Paphos and Nicosia areas. Twenty masonry houses were destroyed at Arodhes. Felt (VII) at Arodhes, Peristerona and Polis; (VI) at Kathikas, Peyia and Stroumbi; (V) at Kykkou Monastery; (IV) at Larnaca, Limassol and Nicosia; (III) at Paralimni. Felt throughout Cyprus. Also felt in northern Israel and Lebanon. (reference #1053)
