The search of historical evidence commenced with a study of the 1932 Koro earthquake in which it was discovered that the date assumed for the Koro earthquake, 14 March, was incorrect because reports in the Fiji Times and Herald newspaper proved that the earthquake occurred on 9 March. (reference #1184)
