March 27, 1928 Earthquake: Tolmezzo, Italy

At the first shock, the 26.3, in Tolmezzo the population panicked. In the church of Chiaicis fraction (City of Verzegnis), a quarter of an hour before the shock of 3/27, it was over a solemn Mass celebrated to implore the protection of the local patron earthquakes.

The second quake, that of 27.3, caused the abandonment of homes in many centers.
