October 16, 1883. A severe earthquake shock was experienced at Kangan 'Assalu and Tahiri and in their neighbourhoods, where much damage was done. Tremors continued until the 24th October. The main shock was also felt at Bushire (Wilson 1930: Persian gazetteer). (reference #1217)
