September 20, 1858, 40 N, 20 E, intensity IX-X. Serious destruction at Delvine, felt strongly at Kuci, Zhulat, Fushe-Bardhe, felt at Pontepigadia, Arta and Preveza, some destruction reported also from Sofia, this report about Sofia corresponds probably to the following shock [September 30-October 12, 1858]. 1858-1869, intensity 9.5. Series of tremors began on September 20, 1858, in the district of Delvinon; 12 killed and 1556 collapsed houses. The destruction extended to Berati and Corfou. Many counterparts, occurred on October 9 at Vlora and Himara. On March 13, 1859: destruction in Vlora and on September 12 at Himara. On April 10, 1860: destructive shocks at Vlora, Tepelena, Argirocastro (Gjinokastra) and Janina, and 5 days afterwards at Leskovitz (Ljaskovitza) and Konitza. (reference #1093)
