Autumn 180, W of Gaotai, Gansu Province, 39.4 N, 99.5 E, magnitude 7.5, intensity X.
Earthquakes occurred to the W of the present-day
Gaotai. Temples, official and civilian houses in the
city were completely devastated, and water gushed out from cracks. The county seat was shifted to another place and new city walls were built. More than 80 shocks occurred from the autumn to the next spring.
