Earthquake on 22 September/3 October 1767, 8:00 a.m.. In Ayios Petros, houses, churches, and mills were demolished, and two persons were injured. The water supply was cut off. In Komilio, all the houses were demolished, many from their foundations, while churches were damaged. In Athani, the earthquake damaged nearly all the houses and churches, while a warehouse collapsed. More than 50 smaller shocks were perceptible in one hour after the first earthquake.
