1692 Sept 13, Salta. It destroyed the town of Esteco and caused landslides and cracks in buildings in the Lerma Valley. Eleven deaths were reported, and aftershocks were felt for several days. Its intensity was IX degrees on the Mercalli scale. (reference #14044)
