September 5, 1387 (20 Sha'ban 789) Yemen. Strong earthquakes shook Aden up to the end of Ramadan (14 October 1387). Some houses in Aden fell down, but there were no casualties there. The shocks extended to Hajar and al-Atlal (?), where the earthquake obliterated the traces of monuments; a great number of people were killed in those districts. The correct identification of the area affected (? north of Aden) remains conjectural, and it is not possible to estimate the extent of the earthquake. (reference #3845)
