At 16:14 PST (08:14 UTC) on November 17, 2023, the province of Sarangani on the island of Mindanao in the Philippines was struck by an earthquake measuring Mww 6.7 or Mw 6.8. It had a maximum perceived intensity of VIII (Severe) on the Modified Mercalli Intensity Scale. At least eleven people were killed and another 730 were treated for injuries.

At least eleven people killed and 730 injured; 644 homes destroyed and 4,248 damaged; several bridges, public buildings and roads damaged; power outages occurred in Davao Region and Soccsksargen. Landslides and liquefaction occurred near Glan.
