What happened

The USGS’s account of the effects of this earthquake.

At least 100 buildings damaged on Skyros, Greece, including Saint George Monastery. The main water supply system was damaged and fallings rocks from a castle destroyed 30 cars. Felt throughout much of Greece. Felt (III) in the southern part of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
