This quake struck at 7:52 PM on Jan 04 (equivalent to 03:52 UTC on Jan 05). Breakable goods and merchandise were damaged in some stores at Bishop, and loose articles were knocked to the floor. The shock also was reported at Bakersfield, Fresno, and Visalia, California, and one doubtful report was received from Blair, Nevada. (Ref. 56, 324.)
