This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of the Missouri
Ozarks and extreme southeast Kansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight.

Weather hazards expected...

  Marginal hail risk.
  Marginal thunderstorm wind damage risk.
  Limited lightning risk.
  Elevated extreme heat risk.
  Limited excessive rainfall risk

DISCUSSION...

A Marginal (1 of 5) Severe Risk for isolated strong to severe
thunderstorms this afternoon through tonight. Primary hazard is
damaging wind gusts up to 60-70 mph. Quarter- sized hail is a
secondary hazard.

A Marginal (1 of 4) Excessive Rainfall Risk for localized heavy
rainfall and a few instances of flash flooding this afternoon
through tonight.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Additional 30 to 50 percent chances for showers and thunderstorms
through Friday night. Primary hazards are lightning and localized
heavy rainfall.

Heat index values around 100 to 105 degrees will persist through
next week.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

  Spotter activation will not be needed through tonight.
