southern Minnesota, and west central Wisconsin.

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Monday through Saturday.

Showers and thunderstorms Monday may bring localized areas of
heavy rainfall. Hotter weather arrives Tuesday and Wednesday with
heat indices near 100 possible. Strong to severe thunderstorms
are
possible Tuesday and Wednesday.

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT SOUTHERN RICE AND STEELE
COUNTIES UNTIL 215 PM CDT...

At 146 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Owatonna, moving north at 15 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and half inch size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
  Owatonna, Faribault, Blooming Prairie, Medford, Ellendale, Warsaw,
  Nerstrand, Clinton Falls, Merton, Moland, Hope, Deerfield, Owatonna
  Airport, Ruskin, Rice Lake State Park, Steele Center, Bixby,
  Faribault Airport and Nerstrand Big Woods State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Monitor the weather situation closely and be alert for threatening
weather conditions.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
