Better chances for thunderstorms arrive this evening into tonight as a complex of storms moves eastward out of New Mexico. Some of these storms may be strong or severe and could produce locally heavy rainfall. The best rain chances tonight will be along and west of the I-27 corridor. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday. Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms are expected on Wednesday and Thursday. Locally heavy rainfall will be possible, and a few storms may be strong or severe on both days. GARZA AND NORTHEASTERN TERRY COUNTIES THROUGH 1115 PM CDT...
At 1043 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from near Post to 7 miles north of Grassland to 9
miles west of Tahoka. Movement was west at 25 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and nickel size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
