This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Showers and thunderstorms will become numerous this evening into the
overnight hours. An isolated severe storm or two cannot be ruled
out, especially south of highway 2 and west of highway 83. Damaging
wind would the main concern. Locally heavy rainfall will also be a
possibility especially across the eastern Nebraska Panhandle and
northwestern Sandhills.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

The threat for showers and thunderstorms will continue into the
weekend, especially Saturday night. At this time, the severe threat
appears to low however heavy rain is possible Saturday night.

Showers and thunderstorms remain possible across the area Monday
through Wednesday. At this time, the severe threat is low.

COUNTIES THROUGH 430 PM CDT...

At 332 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from 8 miles north of McCook to Culbertson. Movement
was northeast at 30 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and penny size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Locations impacted include...
Curtis, Moorefield, Stockville, Maywood, Quick, Bluegill Haven
Campground, Willow View Campground, Freedom, Red Willow Reservoir
State Recreation Area, and Dancing Leaf Earth Lodge.

This includes Highway 83 between mile markers 27 and 47.
