This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for portions of western and north
central Nebraska.

.DAY ONE...Tonight.

Scattered thunderstorms are possible again this evening and tonight,
especially across portions of northern Nebraska. These storms could
be strong to severe, with a threat for large hail and damaging wind
gusts. At this time, the main area of concern for severe storms is
north of a line from Merriman to Burwell.

A second area of strong to severe thunderstorms may move into
southwestern Nebraska this evening. Damaging wind gusts are possible
with the stronger storms.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday.

Thunderstorms are possible both Friday and Saturday across much of
western and north central Nebraska. A few storms could be strong to
severe both days, with large hail and damaging winds as the primary
hazards. A tornado or two cannot be ruled out on Friday. The main
area of concern for severe storms Friday is north of a line from
Oshkosh to Brady. On Saturday, the main area of concern for severe
storms is west of a line from Cody to Broken Bow.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time for tonight, but may
be needed on Friday afternoon and evening.

AND EAST CENTRAL HAYES COUNTIES THROUGH MIDNIGHT CDT...

At 1121 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 15
miles southwest of Curtis, moving northeast at 55 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and half inch hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
         unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
         possible.

Curtis, Moorefield, Stockville, Medicine Creek Reservoir State
Recreation Area, Maywood, Quick, Hansen Memorial Reserve State
Wildlife Management Area, Willow View Campground, Freedom, Orafino,
