...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM EDT THIS
MORNING THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT....Warm temperatures in the mid to upper 80s to lower 90s
  may cause people to underestimate the dangers of the cold water
  temperatures which are currently around 50.

* WHERE...Coastal Hancock and Coastal Washington Counties.

* WHEN...From 8 AM EDT this morning through this evening.

* IMPACTS...The cold water temperatures can quickly cause 
  hypothermia to anyone immersed in the waters. Anyone on boats 
  or paddlecraft should use extreme caution to avoid this threat.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Beach Hazards Statement is issued on days when a significant
number of boats and paddlecraft are expected to be out on the
water and when warm air temperatures may cause people to
underestimate the danger of the cold water. Paddle smart from the
start. Always wear your life jacket. Be aware of wind conditions,
tides, and localized currents.

KEY MESSAGE 1...Lower temperatures and less humidity Saturday.

KEY MESSAGE 1 DESCRIPTION...
A cold front will cross the region Saturday with lower
temperatures and less humidity in the wake of the front.
High temperatures Saturday are expected to range from the upper
70s to lower 80s north. Temperatures Downeast will be dependent
on the timing of the front. Temperatures from the upper 80s to
around 90 are still possible in advance of the front. Apparent
temperatures should remain just below heat advisory levels.

KEY MESSAGE 2...Isolated thunderstorms remain possible this
evening through Saturday. A conditional threat for severe
storms exists.

KEY MESSAGE 2 DESCRIPTION...
Scattered showers along with isolated thunderstorms are
possible across mostly northern areas into this evening.
A cold front crossing the region, along with an upper level
disturbance, will support another chance of isolated/scattered
afternoon thunderstorms Saturday. The risk of severe
thunderstorms is low.

.AVIATION /18Z FRIDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
Rest of this afternoon: Variable conditions with any isolated
thunderstorms, mostly north. Otherwise, VFR. West/northwest
winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts up to 20 to 25 knots.

Tonight: Variable conditions with any evening thunderstorms,
mostly north. Otherwise, VFR. West winds 5 to 10 knots.

Saturday: Variable conditions with any afternoon thunderstorms.
Otherwise, VFR. West/northwest winds 10 to 15 knots with gusts
up to 20 to 25 knots.

Saturday night: VFR. North/northwest winds 5 to 10 knots.

Sunday to Sunday night: VFR. NW winds 5 to 10 kts with gusts to
15-20 kts Sunday afternoon, otherwise winds will be light.

Monday: VFR. Light winds with a southerly sea breeze developing
at coastal terminals in the afternoon.

Monday night to Tuesday: Increasing chance of MVFR or lower
conditions in -RA/-SHRA, mainly for KBGR and coastal/Downeast
airports. VFR elsewhere. Light and variable winds, becoming
south at 5-15 kts Tuesday.

Wednesday: MVFR conditions possible in some scattered showers,
otherwise VFR. SW winds at 5-10 kt, gusting to 15 kt.

Winds/seas below small craft advisory levels tonight through
Saturday night. Patchy fog later tonight into Saturday morning.

Winds and seas below Small Craft Advisory criteria continue
Sunday into next week for all waters out to 60NM from the
coast. Seas 2 feet or less are expected this weekend into early
next week for waters inside 25NM from the coast. Wind gusts will
generally be between 5 and 15 kts. Water temperatures remain
around 50.
