- A brief passing shower possible early this morning. Otherwise...
  dry and very pleasant weather today and Tue. Highs in the 70s
  today and mainly upper 60s to the lower 70s Tue. Lows tonight
  and Tue night mainly in the 40s to the lower 50s.

- Above normal temps return Wed through the end of the week with
  high temps mainly in the 70s to near 80. A few showers possible
  sometime late Thu into early Fri...But dry weather dominates.

.DISCUSSION...

KEY MESSAGE 1...A brief passing shower possible early this morning.
Otherwise...dry and very pleasant weather today and Tue. Highs in
the 70s today and mainly upper 60s to the lower 70s Tue. Lows
tonight and Tue night mainly in the 40s to the lower 50s.

A cold front crosses the region early this morning with perhaps a
brief passing shower. It will result in the remaining fog
quickly scouring out. Otherwise...dry and very pleasant weather
is on tap for the region today into Tue. Skies quickly become
sunny this morning and with the mild start expect high
temperatures to reach well into the 70s this afternoon...But
with low humidity. N-NW winds will be a bit breezy on the order
of 20-25 mph with perhaps a few gusts near 30 mph...but still a
beautiful day of weather is on tap.

High pressure builds in from the west tonight allowing for
diminishing winds...but it will remain a bit breezy on the
Cape/Nantucket. Low temperatures tonight will be cool in the 40s to
the lower 50s. Sunshine on Tue with cooler high temperatures mainly
in the upper 60s to the lower 70s...but its possible parts of the
immediate eastern MA coast only see highs reach the middle 60s.

KEY MESSAGE 2...Above normal temps return Wed through the end of the
week with high temps mainly in the 70s to near 80. A few showers
possible sometime late Thu into early Fri...But dry weather
dominates.

Upper trough shifts east of the region allowing warmer mid level air
to advect in from the west. This will bring a return to above normal
temperatures in the Wed through Fri time frame. High temperatures
will be mainly in the 70s to near 80. A shortwave/cold front may
bring a few showers to the region sometime late Thu into early Fri.
However...a dry/tranquil weather pattern will dominate most of the
week.

knots along the immediate coast, Cape and Islands.

Tuesday...High confidence.

VFR. NE winds becoming S-SE at 5-10 knots except for sea breezes
along portions of the immediate coast.

A cold front crosses the waters early this morning. Behind this
front N wind gust to around 25 knots at times today into tonight.
The strongest of the winds will come in two bouts...the first
through early afternoon followed by a second in the cool air
advection pattern this evening. We have continued the small craft
headlines for these wind gusts.

Tuesday...High confidence.

High pressure builds in from the west on Tue. This should result in
winds diminishing below small craft advisory thresholds by daybreak
Tue. NE winds will continue to diminish and shift to the E during
the afternoon. No marine headlines will be needed on Tue.
