This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for west central Minnesota,
central South Dakota, north central South Dakota and northeast
South Dakota.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

Light to moderate snow will quickly move through the area this
morning and then begin to taper off during the afternoon. Strong
northwest winds will develop during the morning and gust between 35
to 55 mph and persist through late afternoon and early evening. The
combination of the fresh snow on the ground or new snow falling and
the strong winds will lead to areas of blowing snow and reduced
visibilities. Hazardous travel conditions will be possible with the
worst conditions occurring out in open country. Conditions will
improve during the evening.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday.

A blast of bitterly cold arctic air pushes into the area on Thursday
and Thursday night and persists into the weekend. Breezy conditions
will increase the risk of blowing snow on Thursday. Dangerous wind
chills of 25 below to 45 below zero will be possible Thursday night
into Saturday.
